...more than just a product Pricing is an important and emotive issue when providing products to a large dealer base. Too high and you are not competitive, too low you unnecessarily erode the market price. Too flexible and you can offend some dealers, no flexibility and you miss opportunities.Just as you think you have it right, your loyal dealers become concerned that they are getting the same price as the new dealer.There is no magic solution; however we think that we have got it just right.We follow a simple and consistent policy with our Pricing: All dealers are offered the same discount against our published price catalogue. The only variance to this pricing is in situations where an OEM or VAR enters into a pre-defined Volume based contract. On the rare occasion that we give pricing information to an end user it will always be the published list price. End users will be referred to appropriate members of our dealer base. If the size and nature of a project requires unique pricing to meet competition all enquiring dealers will be quoted the same price for that project.
How then do we reward our loyal dealers? By introducing a simple and manageable rebate program. How does it work? Bqt Solutions will track the Invoices paid by the dealer over a 12 month period. Each time the value of paid invoices crosses a £25,000 threshold, the dealers account will be credited with a 2% rebate (£500). Payment of the rebate will depend on the account being up to date and not having gone beyond 45 days payment at any time during the qualifying period. The qualifying period will be from April 1st to March 31st. Any accounts that are operating with Bqt Solutions for the first year, and have not received a rebate in that year will be allowed a 3 month extension (to June 30th). Any Invoice values accrued in the extension period will count against the first years performance, If no rebate is achieved, within the extended 3 month period, counting will revert back to April the 1st enabling the 3 month extension to count in the second year.
