At BQT Solutions, our miPASS Suite of readers uses Mifare contactless smart card technology (13.56 MHz radio frequency / ISO 14443A) designed by Philips Electronics, who manufactures and distribute this product worldwide. BQT Solutions uses this technology to create leading edge access control solutions for high end user groups, such as Defence & Government departments.
Mifare is the most suitable solution for use with access control security solutions, for it has the ability to control multiple applications on the one card, making other proximity and contact card based systems obsolete in comparison.
The miPASS range of readers provide more than a standard Proximity or Magstripe card, Personal Identification Number (PIN) or even a proprietary system. By providing encryption keys unique, for every access control solution, the result is an increased level of security and greater flexibility. With such a range of formats available, this enables the readers to be used in conjunction with almost every access control panel and software in the market. The readers can be programmed to meet any new or exisiting specific customer requirements and are ideal for upgrading existing sites still using ‘Swipe’ or ‘Prox’ (125KHz) card and reader technology. The miPASS readers can be retrofitted using the existing cabling infrastructure which could amount to substantial cost savings.
